He was one of the leads at Bishop Cottage, which was an emergency shelter, and assisted youth removed from their home by the Department of Children and Families. Ray moved on and started working for Child Guidance Center in 1996. He has had the honor to be part of multiple programs and projects while working for the agency. He started as a Targeted Case Manager and then moved on to be one of the Intake Coordinators. Eventually, he became a supervisor for the team. Ray moved on to become part of what was known as the LEAP program, where he assisted those aging out of foster care, in preparing to become independent as an adult. The next project included becoming a QPR instructor for the Suicide Prevention Project grant through the University of South Florida as a QPR instruction and a Community Case Manager. Ray moved on to become the case manager for the Rapid Response Team and now the Family Preservation Team Coordinator and also one of the facilitators for the Integrated Practice Team. He became certified in ITTTAI in 2021.
Throughout his career, Ray has earned multiple accommodations and certifications and earned his Bachelors’ Degree at the University of North Florida. Ray loves working with the youth both in and out of the office, as shown by his dedication at work, coaching swimming, and volunteer work with kids who suffer from childhood cancer.
